Hungry Horse Poker — Evgenii Litvinov

Hungry Horse Poker is an online poker training platform that helps players improve their decision-making through structured practice and coaching.

Practice together

The project focused on a collaborative training mode designed for live sessions with a coach. Instead of playing against each other, all participants work through the same poker scenarios simultaneously while discussing decisions together over Zoom.

Each session is prepared by the coach in advance. Players face the same scenario and make decisions independently against bots rather than each other. This keeps the session collaborative and lets the coach discuss the same situation with the whole group.

Score decisions

Each scenario has predefined actions and expected decisions set by the coach. Players receive points based on the choices they make, turning every hand into a structured exercise with immediate feedback.

Scores feed into a leaderboard, adding light competition to each session.

Illustrate every scenario

A large part of the interface was built around custom poker illustrations. Cards, players, table positions, actions, and different game states were illustrated to make complex scenarios easier to understand at a glance.

Guide decisions with time

A custom timer was designed for each decision to keep the session moving at the same pace for everyone.
